Kankakee Community College (KCC) students, faculty and staff and the surrounding community can view a new piece of art from Sergio Gomez, produced via the college’s Closing the Gap program, near the entrance to the Miner Memorial Library.
The Closing the Gap program, hosted by the Humanities and Social Science Division, ran through September and featured a live charcoal drawing by Gomez, faculty member at South Suburban College faculty who curates that school’s Photo-Four Gallery, a KCC release said.
The piece on display at the Miner Memorial, titled "Transforming Conversations," evokes the theme of passing down knowledge and understanding through generations, the release said.
