Dr. Hollowell, Superintendent presented the bids received for the BUGC HVAC project.. HVAC bids to replace 4 of the 13 roof top units at BUGC came in between $1,052,000 and $1,200,000. This is much higher than the original estimate from our architect and engineer. Dr. Hollowell presented 3 different alternatives for the Boards consideration including one to reject all bids. The board rejected all bids and we will need to rebid the project in smaller pieces. The $500,000 budgeted for this project in FY18 will be carried over as surplus, and thus FY19 we will budget a deficit of $500,000 when we complete the project. Discussion followed.
