Kankakee Public Library issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.

Bensinger will be discussing the story of his immediate family’s life in pre-war Germany, Israel and America, together with a historical narrative leading up to the destruction of the rest of his family by the Nazi regime. Inspired by his family’s refugee experience, he devoted his life to practicing immigration law, filmmaking, and philanthropic opportunities.
