City of Momence Water & Sewer Committee met Jan. 7.

The Water and Sewer Committee meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.
Present were: Chairman Alderman Metz along with committee members Alderman Rehmer, Carbonaro, and Temple. Also, present were Alderman Salomone, Clark, Cook and Mayor Steele.
1. Omni Site for Elm Street – phone that texts when there is a problem/issue. Cost is $560.00/month with CallOne. The omni site is a total cost of $5800.00, yearly fee is $300.00. need to check into current contract to see if we can terminate contract with CallOne to move with a different provider. Vote next meeting
2. Tower Washing – need bids for tower washing on 2 towers, estimating $3000.00 - $4000.00 each. This should be done every 4 – 5 years. The tower on the south side has never been washed.
3. Storm Clarifier – 43 years old, estimated life is 20 years. 1.5 – 2 inches of rain the storm clarifier will start to fill. This needs to be replaced.
