Bourbonnais Elementary School District No. 53 Board of Education met Feb. 12.

The Special Meeting of the Board of Education of Bourbonnais Elementary School District No. 53, Kankakee County, Illinois was called to order by Board President Rob Rodewald at 6:03 PM at the Administrative Offices, 281 W John Casey Road, Bourbonnais, IL.

1.02 Pledge of Allegiance

1.03 Roll Call The following members were physically present at said location: John Hall, Jamie Freedlund, Rich McBarnes, Nicole McCarty, Jayne Raef, Rob Rodewald.

The following members were allowed by a majority of the members of the Board of Education in accordance with and to the extent allowed by rules adopted by the Board of Education to attend the meeting by video or audio conference: None. No member was not permitted to attend the meeting by video or audio conference.

The following members were absent and did not participate in the meeting in any manner or to any extent whatsoever: Kelly Dunnill.

District Administrators Present: Dr. Margaret Longo, Interim Superintendent; Dennis Crawford, Director of Business Services; Jackie Hazzard, Transportation Coordinator.

2. New Business

2.01 Public Comments - There were no public comments.

2.02 Bus Bid Proposal

The two current vendors with Bus Bid proposals presented a more detailed description of their proposals and allowed Board members in attendance to ask questions. Discussion followed. The Facilities Committee will review and request the Boards approval on the Bus Bid at the February 25, 2020 Regular Board of Education meeting.

2.03 Approval to Submit School Maintenance Project Grant Application *Revised Agenda Item*

Dennis Crawford, CSBO requested the Boards approval to submit the School Maintenance Grant Application. If approved the grant monies will be used to offset the cost of the HVAC equipment replacement at Noel LeVasseur.

Motion by John Hall, second by Jamie Freedlund to approve to submit School Maintenance Project Grant Application as presented. The following voice votes were heard: Ayes: Jamie Freedlund, John Hall, Rich McBarnes, Nicole McCarty, Jayne Raef, Rob Rodewald. Nays: None. Absent: Kelly Dunnill. Final Resolution: Motion Carries.
