City of Watseka City Council met Nov. 23.

The City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor John Allhands at 7:00pm. Present were Aldermen Barragree, Marcier, Cahoe, Garfield, Rushbrook & Alderwoman Musk. Absent was Alderwoman Ulfers & Alderman Miller.
Motion was made by Garfield, seconded by Barragree to approve the City Council meeting minutes of October 26th 2021. Motion passed 6-0.

A Motion was made by Rushbrook, seconded by Barragree to Accept the Consent Agenda. Motion passed 6-0.

A Motion was made by Garfield, seconded by Marcier to pay claims in the amount $1,005,515.85. Motion passed 6-0.
A Motion was made by Rushbrook, seconded by Musk to Accept and Place on file the October Treasurer Report. Motion passed 6-0.
A Motion was made by Garfield, seconded by Rushbrook TIF 3 reimbursement to Belmont Oaks $46,404.52. Motion passed 6-0.
A Motion was made by Garfield, seconded by Rushbrook TIF 3 reimbursement to Heritage Woods $54,596.61. Motion passed 6-0.
Alley Between S 4th & S 5th St resurfacing from IPC $30,300 No action was taken IPC cannot get to this project this year.

Robert Langellier $750.00 for property at the east end of E Oak St. No action was taken.

• Code Enforcement
A Motion was made by Barragree, seconded by Cahoe Lee Farms Excavating aggregate bid for $44,300 to demolish 531 N 5th St, 132 W Herron Ct, 805 N Virginia and 109 W Sheridan St. Motion passed 6-0.
A Motion was made by Cahoe, seconded by Marcier Start condemnation proceedings at 1121 N Jefferson St. Motion passed 6-0.

• Miscellaneous Business
Police Pension bond discussion of 1.5 million and possible action. No action was taken City Attorney needs to look at the actuary report.
Reports from Officers- None
Alderman Garfield asked about $50 gift cards to Berkot’s for the city employees for Christmas, there are 60 employees this will cost $3,000.00 this excludes alcohol and tobacco products, this will be put on the agenda for next month. Alderman Garfield also asked about having the 5% Liquor Tax for the Police Pension being locked in having the ordinance revised.
