Sealed Bids for the Construction of a New Morgue for Iroquois County will be received by the Iroquois County Board located in Watseka, IL 60970.
Bids will be received until Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. and then publicly opened and read aloud on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at a regular meeting of the Iroquois County Management Committee at the County Administration Center, Watseka, IL. 60970
The Contractor to whom an award shall be made pursuant to this procurement shall be subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to the
Illinois acts commonly known as the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130).
The submissions of the Bid by the Offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an Acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act.

The Work shall consist of General Construction services and labor and certain material for the construction of a new 30’x40’ wood framed building over concrete footings and foundations. Requirements for Bidding: (1) Contractors must comply with all prevailing wage requirements and must submit pay requests with certified payroll. (2) If a bid is accepted, the Contractor will be required to file a written substance abuse prevention program with the Owner for the prevention of substance abuse among its employees prior to the commencement of the work. Said program shall be available to the general public. (3) Contractor Proof of Qualifications and professional references and Insurance Liability letter. (4) Bond. Contractor must show proof of bonding.
Award of Contract: It is anticipated that the contract for the project will be awarded July 12, 2022 pending notification of award of grant funding for the project.
The Iroquois County Board reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible Bids or to reject all bids and waive any informality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the County Board.
